The Human Resources Manager will serve as a generalist, functioning for the Philadelphia region. Main focus will be to work with regional leadership team, managers and employees to create and sustain a highly engaged and enabled work environment. This position is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle employee experience and support in executing our people initiatives.
Duties/Responsibilities
Serve as a credible and trustworthy advocate representing/addressing the needs and concerns of the office and to be able to ensure/measure alignment around business needs.
Ensures necessary administrative tasks are managed in a timely fashion with a high level of accuracy (HRIS entries, Leave Administration, New Hire and Termination paperwork, etc.).
Conducts new employee processes; writing offer letters, performing background checks and on-boarding employees.
Conduct bi-weekly payroll.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy constructive, and when needed properly offboard people. May be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
Serve as culture liaison, planning local events and charity functions.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Required Skills/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
A minimum of 5-7 years of human resource management experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
