Qualifications:
Essential:
Experience providing secretarial and administrative support

File management experience including creating and/or maintaining electronic and paper filing systems

Excellent written communication skills for the purpose of drafting, reviewing and editing correspondence

Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a broad range of staff members, clients and stakeholders

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to build relationships and interact effectively with team members, and internal and external clients

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy

Ability to work independently under minimal supervision

Ability to work with sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner

Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access) or similar software applications

Desired:
Experience with government or large corporate processes and procedures.

Experience with event planning and organization.

Duties:
Reporting to the Chairperson, Clean Environment Commission, this position is integral to the commission fulfilling its mandate, supporting the minister, managing projects, providing services to the chair, commissioner and the public. It is a central focal point responsible for the control of all incoming and outgoing correspondence/requests for the commission. The position provides service to the public by telephone and in person and is the front line reception.
